What is bone grafting? Is this method effective? Is this procedure recommended? These questions are running on my mind right now, so I did a little self-help and searched for the answers to it.
In the academe, bone grafting is under Dental Implantology. It is a medical procedure wherein a bone from the patient’s body will be surgically removed to be placed on his or her upper or lower teeth (where bone deterioration and/or loss are prevalent). Tooth loss may contribute to the “thinning” of the bone and so bone grafting allows dental implants to be made possible on the person’s teeth.
